Maintenance instructions for Duco Ventilation systems
E. Heat Recovery Ventilation System
E.1 Maintenance frequency
1 Cleaning must be done by an accredited installer
2 In order to guarantee proper and safe operation, the DucoBox WTW must be (visually) checked and inspected at least
every 12 months by an accredited installer or service organisation
3 The maintenance of the DucoBox WTW is limited to checking the fan once a year and for leaks on water-side parts
4 The filter of the DucoBox WTW must be checked and/or replaced annually to ensure proper operation of the heat
recovery ventilation system If the filter is not replaced every year, the dust particles will accumulate, which may cause
malfunctions
5 Technical maintenance of the DucoBox WTW is not necessary
6 When the DucoBox WTW is used in combination with a cooker hood where this cooker hood without motor is fitted to one
of the connections in the kitchen, the maintenance frequency will be higher than indicated above This will require addi-
tional maintenance, such as cleaning / replacing filters and the motor The maintenance frequency of the filter may then
have to be adjusted, due to a greater degree of fouling If a cooker hood is connected to the ventilation system, the filter
needs to be replaced every 4 months DUCO recommends installing a cooker hood with a motor and its own connection
to the outside
E.2 How to replace filters
1 The filter must be replaced by the resident
2 Filters cannot be cleaned
