Attention
The BSD cannot detect bicycles, scooters,
some motorcycles, pedestrians, animals, stationary
objects (such as parked vehicles, toll booths, traffic
dividers), and vehicles with high ground clearance,
raised suspension, or an overhanging load,
Attention
Do not use chemical-based or abrasive cleaners
as doing so can damage the sensor surface. Avoid
using a high-pressure washer. Do not clean the
sensor with a sharp or abrasive object that can
scratch or damage its surface.
Availability of the function
The BSD function is not available (therefore it does
not communicate any information and/or warnings):
●
over 33° of leaning angle.
●
under 22 km/h.
●
during an ABS or Traction Control intervention.
Note
Bumps, jerks or sudden movements repeated
over time as well as dropping the motorcycle even at
low speed or from a stationary position may cause
misalignment of the radar sensors. Such
misalignment can prevent the system from properly
operating or reduce its effectiveness. (In such cases,
it is necessary to have the alignment/calibration
checked by an authorized dealer.)
