Removing the water
cooler
Warning
Always work with the engine
cold.
Disconnect the fan connectors from
the main wiring harness (Sect. P 1).
Loosen the clamps (3) and extract the
cooler (19) from the manifold (2)
connection hoses (17).
Loosen clamp (10) and remove
the breather hose (11) from the
cooler (19).
Undo the screw (20) securing the
cooler to the LH side of the frame
and recover spacer (21).
Slide the cooler (19) off the pin (26)
on the RH side of the frame and
remove the cooler assembly
complete with fans.
Check the condition of the rubber
blocks (22) supporting the water
cooler and those (14) and (15)
supporting the air scoops.
Important
An excessively high coolant
temperature may be caused by partial
obstruction of the cooler's heat
exchange core (19).
Check the heat exchange core:
if there are obstructions to the air flow
in the form of leaves, insects, mud,
etc., remove any such extraneous
material taking care not to damage
the cooler itself.
If any signs of deformation or leaks
are found, the cooler must be
renewed.

Attenzione
Operare sempre a motore
freddo.
Scollegare le connessioni delle
elettroventole dal cablaggio principale
(Sez. P 1).
Allentare le fascette (3) e sfilare il
radiatore (19) dai manicotti (17) di
collegamento al distributore (2).
Allentare la fascetta (10) e rimuovere
il tubo di sfiato (11) dal radiatore (19).
Svitare la vite (20) di fissaggio
radiatore al telaio sul lato sinistro e
recuperare il distanziale (21).
Sfilare il radiatore acqua (19) dal
perno (26) posto sul lato destro
del telaio e rimuovere il radiatore
completo di elettroventole.
Verificare l’integrità dei gommini (22)
di sostegno radiatore acqua e dei
gommini (14) e (15) di sostegno
convogliatori aria.
Importante
Temperature eccesive del
liquido di raffreddanento possono
essere causate da una parziale
ostruzione della massa radiante del
radiatore (19).
Controllare la massa radiante: se sulle
alette vi sono ostruzioni al flusso d’aria,
foglie insetti, fango, ecc., si dovrà
procedere alla rimozione di tali ostacoli,
facendo attenzione a non rovinare
il radiatore.
Se si riscontrano perdite o
deformazioni è necessario sostituire
il radiatore.
