This page allows a user to configure general settings for Storm Control. 

 

Available settings are explained as follows: 

Item Description 

Storm Control Mode 

Select the mode of storm control. 

 

Packet/sec – Storm control rate will be calculated by 
packet-based. 

 

Kbits/sec - Storm control rate will be calculated by 
octet-based. 

Preamble & Inter Frame 

Gap  

Select the rate calculation with/without preamble & IFG (20 

bytes). 

 

Excluded – Exclude preamble & IFG (20 bytes) when 

count ingress storm control rate. 

 

Included - Include preamble & IFG (20 bytes) when count 

ingress storm control rate. 

Apply 

Apply the settings to the switch.
