Assembly and preparation
– To remove the handle, see "Disassembly" on
page 67.
Fitting the sterilizable handle
Immediately before an operation, fit the handle
under sterile conditions as follows:

Push the handle (A) onto the inner handle. The
handle must engage audibly. If necessary, turn
the handle slightly to the right or left.

Check that the handle is securely attached. To
do so, pull in the direction opposite to that used
to attach it.

Safety information concerning the Dräger
disposable handle
– The disposable handle is intended solely for
single use. The disposable handle must not be
reused, reprocessed, or sterilized.
– The membrane on the disposable handle must
not exhibit any cracks, holes, or other damage.
– The inner handle must be free from damage.
– To prevent soiling of the disposable handle, do
not unpack it until immediately before an
operation.
– Do not use the disposable handle if the
packaging is damaged.
– Do not use a knife to open the packaging for
the disposable handle.

WARNING
Risk of patient injury
The sterilizable handle can fall down into the
operating field if it is not engaged properly.
The handle must be checked for secure
attachment after it has been fitted to the inner
handle.
