Errors/complications during the calibration
Abort the calibration
Configuration of the gas transmitter
To individually configure a device the default configuration, use a PC and the Dräger PolySoft
software (see the Instructions for Use of the PC software). Read the configuration back and
check it when configuration is complete.
The following configuration is set on delivery (unless otherwise specified by the customer):
Display of the span error:
Wait approx. 1 to
2 minutes until the
yellow status light is
off. The display error
can be read from the
flash rhythm of the
green status light.
Green flashes in a
simple sequence:
Maintenance
signal
The display error is less than
the defined "calibration range
limit".
Green flashes in a
double sequence:
Maintenance
signal
Minor display error.
Green flashes in a
triple sequence:
Maintenance
signal
The display error is greater
than ±15 % of the calibration
gas concentration.
(Timeout after approx. 30 min.)
Adjust the span:
Place the magnetic
wand on the " S "
mark and hold it there.
Green and yellow on Maintenance
signal
Adjustment is acknowledged.
Remove magnetic
wand.
Green/yellow flashes
alternately
Maintenance

Span adjustment is completed.
The gas transmitter terminates the calibration automatically and switches to measurement
mode (after reaching the gas concentration before calibration, accuracy: ±5 %) (green on).
At the end of the calibration or if the timeout is exceeded, shut off calibration gas and if
necessary remove the gas exposure accessories used for calibration.
WARNING
The factory-set calibration gas and the factory-set calibration concentration are specified on
the configuration label.
If there is a deviation from these settings, the modified parameters must be sent with the Dräger
RAB 7000 remote access box or a PC and the Dräger PolySoft software or a HART
®
remote
control and checked after read-back. Enter the modified parameters on the configuration label.
The recommended calibration gas concentration is 40 to 60 % of the full-scale deflection.
If the calibration gas or calibration gas concentration are changed, the output value must be
checked when calibration gas is applied for the first time (e. g. on the downstream central device
or during calibration with a PC and the Dräger PolySoft software in the calibration screen).
