8.3.3
Oxygen pressure reducer
A piston-controlled pressure reducer is used for the oxygen supply. It has a G 3/4"
or CGA 540 threaded compressed gas cylinder connection for oxygen valves with a
nominal pressure of 200 bar cylinder pressure.
8.3.4
Mixed gas pressure reducer
A piston-controlled pressure reducer for the use of oxygen and oxygen-containing
gases is used for the mixed gas supply. It has a compressed gas cylinder
connection with G 3/4", CGA 540 or DIN M26x2 thread for oxygen valves with a
nominal pressure of 200 bar cylinder pressure.
8.3.5
Lung demand valve
The lung demand valve serves to regulate the supply of the breathing circuit with
oxygen or mixed gas. For this purpose, the lung demand valve is connected to the
inhalation bag of the breathing circuit via a plug-in connector. The connection of the
breathing bag is marked with a green button and on the plug-in connector of the
lung demand valve there is a green O-ring for identification. The lung demand valve
has a balanced valve mechanism so that the set pressure does not depend on the
inlet pressure. If there is negative pressure in the breathing circuit, the lung demand
valve automatically releases breathing gas into the breathing circuit. The diver can
also manually fill the breathing bags with fresh gas by pressing the manual bypass.
The lever can be used to set the response pressure of the lung demand valve to 3
positions.
