2.3 Special Dangers
The product is designed safely and corresponds to the state of the art. There is no
danger under normal use. But: During installation and maintenance work there are
dangers, which can only be avoided through the correct handling.
2.3.1 Dangers from Defective Parts
Defective cables and plugs can lead to injury or death by electrical current.

In case of visible damage or possible electrical faults, shut down the product imme-
diately.
Defective compressed air lines and connectors can cause severe injury.

In case of damage to the compressed air lines and connectors, switch off the com-
pressed air supply immediately and have repairs carried out.
2.3.2 Dangers Through the Unauthorized Modification and the Use of Non-OEM
Parts
The use of unsuitable accessories or unauthorized modifications to the product can
lead to injury.

Do not make any changes to the product.
u
Do not repair the product yourself.
u
Only use accessories that have been approved for the combination with the
product by the manufacturer.
2.3.3 Risk of Electric Shock When Touching Conductive Components
When connected to the mains and inside of the control cabinet there is a danger of
electric shock. Touching conductive components can cause death or serious injury.

Only a qualified electrician may open the control cabinet.
u
Installation and maintenance only in de-energised state.
u
Before starting any maintenance and repair work, turn off the main switch and se-
cure it against unintentional recontact.
In ESUC, condensers are located which store the electrical charges. For one minute
after shutting down the supply, dangerous voltage remains.
Before opening the control cabinet:
1. Switch off the main switch.
2. Pull out the mains plug or disconnect the power supply cable.
3. Wait 1 minute before starting work.
