Subject to change because of technical improvements

Carpets and rugs must be at least 80 cm away
from the fire.

Use a fireproof floor plate to protect a flam-
mable floor from any ash that may fall in front
of the stove. The floor plate must comply with
national standards.

For the dimensions of the fireproof protective
plate: see the appendix "Distance from com-
bustible material".

For further requirements with respect to fire
safety, see the appendix "Distance from com-
bustible material".
