• After removal from the packaging, make sure the appliance is not damaged. Do not
operate a damaged unit. If in doubt please call your dealer.
• Before use thoroughly clean the inside of the refrigerator (See chapter “Cleaning”)
The appliance must be thoroughly dried after cleaning.
Electrical Connection
Internal Batteries
• The unit is equipped with 2 rechargeable deep cycle batteries integrated in the
compressor compartment. If no external power supply is available, the unit is
operated with this battery system until the integrated battery guard switches off
the unit.
• The charge status of the batteries during charging process is shown by the LED on
the control panel (see chapter „Operation - Charging LED“).
• The LED is switched off if no AC power supply is connected.
Circuit Breaker
• The RCCA920 is equipped with a circuit breaker (80A) in
the DC-circuit for the protection of the battery circuit.
• The circuit breaker is located on the backside of the
refrigerator.
IMPORTANT !
On delivery, the circuit breaker is in „OFF“-position. Before connection to AC, make
sure that the circuit breaker is switched to „ON“ position! If the circuit breaker is
switched on afterwards the batteries will not charge!
• There is no need to switch the circuit breaker off at any time. Leave it in „ON“
position during normal use of the appliance.
Connection to AC / Charging the batteries
• The unit must be connected to AC power supply to charge
the batteries. If the unit is switched on during charging
process, the charging time of the batteries will be
prolonged.
• Before connecting the unit, check whether the details on
the dataplate correspond to local values.
• The connection to AC is done with the supplied removable
connection cable. The socket for AC connection is located
at the right side of the appliance.
• The battery LED on the control panel lights up as soon as
the AC-plug is connected.
• The AC circuit is protected by a 5A-fuse located in the connection socket.
