5.3

Sequential commissioning

Sequential commissioning is intended for the case where the intended receiver or network

does not operate on one of the primary radio channels or where direct commissioning is not
practical due to the mechanical constraints of the switch design (e.g. for single rocker
switches).

Sequential commissioning allows selecting any of the 16 radio channels and can be execut-
ed even on single rocker switches. It is however more complex than direct commissioning

and therefore recommended mainly for cases where direct commissioning cannot be used.

5.3.1

Commissioning request

Commissioning requests are triggered using a special button contact sequence. This is illus-
trated in Figure 14 below.
