Connecting up to 20 nodes using three switches
To establish this configuration, you need to
1)
Designate one switch as the TOP switch. This switch should have the MODE selector in M1. No special
firmware configuration is needed for this switch (factory default).
2)
Designate the second switch as SUB1. This switch should have the MODE selector in M1. This switch
needs to be re-configured using the WEB GUI to load the SUB1 firmware.
3)
Designate the third switch as SUB2. This switch should have the MODE selector in M1. This switch needs
to be re-configured using the WEB GUI to load the SUB1 firmware.
4)
Install a standard iPass x8 cable between the Top switch port 1 and the Sub switch port 1.
5)
Install a standard iPass x8 cable between the Top switch port 2 and the Sub switch 2 port 2.
