The FOMA phone
does not turn on. p Make sure the battery pack is attached to the
FOMA phone correctly.
p Make sure the battery is fully charged.

Cannot charge.

Make sure the battery pack is attached to the
FOMA phone correctly.
p Make sure the power plug of the adapter is
securely inserted into the outlet or cigarette lighter
socket.
p Make sure the adapter and the FOMA phone are
connected correctly.
p When you use an AC adapter (option), make sure
its connector is firmly connected to the FOMA
phone or the desktop holder (option).
p
When you use the desktop holder, make sure the
connector terminal of the FOMA phone is not
stained. If it is stained, wipe the terminal part with a
dry cloth or cotton swab.
p If you talk on the phone, execute communications,
or operate other functions for a long time during
battery charge, the temperature of the FOMA
phone may rise to flicker the Call/Charging
indicator. In this case, charge the battery after the
FOMA phone cools down.

While you operate the
FOMA phone or
charge the battery,
they get hot. p During operation or battery charge, or when you
talk on the videophone, operate i-

or watch 1Seg programs for a long time during
battery charge, the FOMA phone, battery pack, or
adapter/charger may become warm, but this is not
a safety hazard, so you can continue to use them.

The usable time of the
battery is short.
p
Make sure not to leave the FOMA phone in the
out-of-service-area state for a long time. In the out-
of-service-area state, the FOMA phone searches
for radio waves to enable communications and
consumes more electricity.
p The usable time of the battery pack varies
depending on the usage environment or its
remaining life.
p Battery packs are consumables. The usable time
slightly shortens each time you charge the battery.
If the usable time becomes extremely short as
compared with the default state even if fully
charged, purchase a specified battery pack.

The power of the
FOMA phone shuts
down and restarts.

If the terminal of the battery pack is stained, the
connection might deteriorate to shut down the
power. Wipe the battery terminal with a dry cloth or
cotton swab. —
Pressing keys is
disabled. p Make sure Lock All is deactivated.

This may be because “Side keys guard” is set to
“ON”.

respond when a key
