Early Warning “ Area Mail”
Receiving Area Mail
Area Mail is a service that can receive the earthquake Early
Warnings and Tsunami Warnings that are issued from the
Japan Meteorological Agency and Disaster/Evacuation
information that are issued from the national and local
governments without being affected by line congestion.
When an Area Mail message arrives, “
” lights and the
buzzer or ring tone for Area Mail sounds.
The received contents of some messages are automatically
displayed. To erase the displayed content, select “OK”.
You can receive Area Mail messages even when you are not
contracted to use i-mode.
You can receive Earthquake Early Warnings, Tsunami
Warnings or Disaster/Evacuation information at the purchase.
(Tsunami Warnings are received as Disaster/Evacuation
information.)
