Show emoji, D-Pict, emoticon, and symbol lists.
They may not be enterable depending on the app.
Kana entry and 2-touch entry
After switching the character type to kanji or katakana
(em-/en-width), use either of two entry methods: "kana
method" and "2-touch method" (→P. 58).
Converting characters
Enter hiragana and press
C
for a list of conversion
candidates of katakana, alphabet, numbers, symbols, as
well as predicted date and time, corresponding to the dial
key you pressed while entering text. This is useful for
entering alphanumerics, katakana, month and day, time,
etc. with the character type as "漢".
Example: Enter "かきく" and press
C
, and conversion
candidates such as "ABC" are displayed.
Correcting text
Back function
At times such when pressing a key too many times and
going past a character you want to enter, you can press
i
to go back to the previous character.
Example: When wanting to enter "き" but have gone to "く",
press
i
to go back to "き".
NOTE
z
This function is available when "Input method" is any
setting other than "2-touch method".
Undo function
Press
C
(undo) to cancel the preceding action that you
finalized.
Prediction conversion
Set "Conv mode" (→P. 58) to "Predictive conv" to have
frequently used words as well as phrases that you have
converted/finalized displayed as conversion candidates.
Example: Simply enter "か", and prediction conversion
candidates such as "彼" are displayed, and
press
w
to select. Prediction conversion
candidates that are predicted to continue after
finalized text are also displayed.
Example: Enter "私" and "は", "の", "が", etc. are displayed as
prediction conversion candidates. Press
w
to
select.
