Customer-created data and downloaded 
information

When changing handset models or having the handset 
repaired, data the customer has created, loaded from 
an external source, or downloaded may be altered or 
erased. DOCOMO is not responsible whatsoever. Note 
that DOCOMO cannot reimburse the customer for 
packet communication charges resulting from 
redownloading data. DOCOMO may replace the 
handset with a substitute handset in lieu of repairs at 
DOCOMO's discretion. In this instance, with some data 
excepted, such data cannot be transferred to the 
substitute handset.

Software updates

A software update is functionality for updating the 
handset's software and allowing you to use it safely and 
enjoyably. This includes the following items ̶  be sure 
the handset is updated with the latest software. A 
software update can be any of these 3 types.

Preinstalled apps and handset functions are updated 
to improve functionality and usability and allow smooth

Preinstalled apps and handset functions are updated
