False Alarm Reduction
System Recently Armed report
The system recently armed report (S78) is sent when a burglary zone goes into alarm within two minutes of the
system being armed.
Diagnostics Function
The communicator contains a diagnostics function that allows you to test the integrity of the cellular communication
and cellular signal. You may also check panel settings with the diagnostics function. To use diagnostics, reset the
communicator and enter the diagnostics code 2313 (DIAG).
Panel Settings
Press a top row key to access the MAC address, serial number, model, and firmware version.
MAC Address
The MAC address uniquely identifes each network node and is different from the IP address, which is assignable. The
MAC address is the panel onboard network hardware address. Press any select area to display the panel MAC address.
Serial Number
This number is the communicator serial number. Reference this number for communicator date‑of‑manufacture and
hardware version. Press any select area to display the serial number.
Model Number
This menu option displays the model number of the communicator.
Firmware Version
This menu option displays the firmware version number of the communicator and date it was released.
Z‑Wave Test Option (iComSLZ only)
This feature allows the installer to test communicator communication with Z‑Wave devices.
A successful test indicates a response from a device. Press any select area to view the
Z‑Wave device list.
Press CMD to advance through each Z‑Wave device and press any select area to begin the
test on the device displayed.
The name of the device displays above the device number. The current number of
successful communications followed by the total number of attempts displays to the right
of the device number. The test stops after 99 attempts.
Press CMD to view the final number of successful communications.
Initializing Z‑Wave Defaults (iComSLZ only)
Only use this function if the Z‑Wave network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
1. Reset the panel and enter 2313 (DIAG) at the keypad to access the Diagnostic menu.
2. Press CMD until INIT Z‑WAVE displays. Press a select area.
3. Select YES when Z‑WAVE? NO YES displays. INIT SUCCESSFUL displays when all Z‑Wave programming has
been initialized.
Contact ID Recvd
This displays DTMF digits dialed from the burglary control panel.
Exiting the Diagnostics program
Press CMD until STOP displays. Press any select area. The keypad returns to the status list display.
