Introduction:
Just because you drive an older car does not mean you have to settle for old
technology. In 2012 Apple recently released a new generation of products and
with them a new Lightning plug.
The IL-MB works on select 1994-98 Mercedes
Benz radios and replaces the CD changer (if present)
The IL-MB updates
your car to
play and charge
newest Apple Lightning products including iPhone
12, iPod Touch (5G), iPad(4G), iPad Mini(1G),iPad Mini Retina Display, without
sacrificing the look and feel of the dashboard components. With the storage
capacity of these devices sacrificing the CD changer should be an easy decision.
Installation:
Although not critical, we recommend disconnecting car
battery. Keep in mind that most
Volvo “SC”
radios are
coded and will not operate without code. Radio code
must be available for radio to operate upon
reconnection.
1.
Remove radio from dash to gain access to connectors. Pair of radio
removal tools (See
Fig. 1
) required.

Slide tools into radio slots
(See Fig. 3)

Withdraw radio by pulling outwards. To release keys simply press
retaining springs. See
