Requirements
XM tuner module (with or without subscription)
Introduction
Many 2005-11 Cadillac STS includes an XM tuner module (metal box in remote
area/trunk) but no aux jack. Creating an aux port in these vehicles usually
requires disconnecting the
XM Tuner;
however,
our AUX-STS cable requires
the XM Tuner module
and retain XM subscription (if subscribed) to provide a
3.5mm ack to which users connect and play all kinds of audio devices including
MP3 players, Smartphones, Tablets, iPod etc. The AUX-STS also works if XM
subscription has expired. To verify vehicle has required XM tuner module, simply
press “BAND” button on radio until XM is displayed, if only AM/FM is displayed,
vehicle does not have required XM module and is not compatible with this part.
