APPENDIX H: REPLACING THE HARD DRIVE
The system comes with a pre-installed 2.5" SATA hard drive. The system supports up to 2
terabytes (TB) of SATA storage—2 x 1 TB 2.5" SATA HDD.
NOTE:
Make sure that the system is
OFF
and the power cable has been disconnected before
changing the hard drive.
Removing the Hard Drive
To remove the hard drive:
1. Remove the four screws on the side panels of the housing.
2. Carefully remove the housing, lifting from the
back of the unit, placing it flat (see figure 34.0).
The hard drive is attached on a mounting plate.
NOTE:
Make sure not to damage the cables
connecting the fan to the circuit board.
3. Disconnect the cables from the hard drive.
4. Remove the four screws at the corners of the
mounting plate.
5. Remove the mounting plate (with hard drive)
from the unit. Remove the four screws below
the mounting plate and carefully detach the
hard disk.
NOTE:
Make sure to keep the three sets of
screws (housing, mounting plate, and hard drive)
in a safe place.
ATTENTION
: Do not remove the two screws near the fan on the side of the housing, or
the two screws on the bottom of the unit.
