9. Click the
Consoles working mode
button
on the toolbar to open a serial console to the
device. For instructions on using the Console, see the
topic in the
XCTU User Guide
.
10. Click the
Open
button
to open a serial connection to the device.
11. Click in the left pane of the
Console log
, then type in the Console to talk to the echo server.
The following screenshot provides an example of this chat.
Debugging
If you experience problems with the settings in this example, you can load the default settings in
XCTU:
1. On the Configuration toolbar, click the
Default
button
to load the default values
established by the firmware, and click
Yes
to confirm.
2. Factory settings are loaded but not written to the device. To write them, click the
Write
button
on the toolbar.
