TransPort LR User Guide

ping

Sends ICMP echo (ping) packets to the specified destination address.

Syntax

ping [count n] [interface ifname] [size bytes] destination

Parameters

count

Number of pings to send.

interface

The interface from which pings are sent.

size

The number of data bytes to send.

destination

The name of the IP host to ping.

Examples

ping 8.8.8.8

Ping IP address 8.8.8.8 with packets of default size 56 bytes
