For the bulk packs (12 ConnectTanks), only one magnet is included in
the kit.

Unscrew the four retaining screws and remove the enclosure cover.

Insert the SIM Card and Connect the Battery

Unlock the SIM card holder. Insert the SIM card, and lock as demonstrated in the following image.
Digi Connect Tank is available in both CDMA and UMTS models. SIM card holders are used only for the UMTS models of Digi
Connect Tank. For information on SIM card activation, refer to the Digi ConnectTank Getting Started Guide.
Connect the internal battery to the device. Ensure the battery and its wiring are properly placed in the wiring compartment.
Re-attach the enclosure cover, and secure using the original retaining screws.

A SIM card must be supplied and activated by a Cellular Service Provider for device operation.
Note:
The metal contacts on the SIM card should be face down, and the chamfered edge should be on the top.
(for Verizon users only).
Press the wake up button followed by the factory default button.
The network LED will blink red (2 seconds ON- 2 seconds OFF) until authentication is complete.
After authentication, the network LED will blink blue (2 seconds ON- 2 seconds OFF) for 30 seconds.
Upload the device information to the Device Cloud.
First reset the device using the reset button and wait for 30 seconds.
Then press the factory default button to restore factory settings and register the device in the Device Cloud.
Wait for the network LED to glow for 3 seconds.
Register the device to the network
Before completing installation, make sure the Tank Upload Method matches your cellular contract to avoid a high cellular bill. See the Digi Connect Tank
Getting Started Guide for more information.

Installation
Note:
Cover screws are required as part of the safety rating. When tightening the cover screws,
use a screw torque of 7 to 17 inch pounds (0.79 to 1.92 newton meters).
