Understanding conductivity values

6.4.2.1

General information

The global quantity of dissolved solids in water can be measured by the CONDUCTIVITY (expressed in
microSiemens per centimeter (µS / cm).

6.4.2.2

Production conductivity « output of water purifier »

Class 2 water (see ISO 3696 standard)
Convenient for clinical analyzers.

The conductivity of the
produced water is below
1µS/cm

The conductivity indicator
is switched OFF

Class 3 water (see ISO 3696 standard)

If the desired water class is 2:

1.

Replace the resin (see paragraph

2.

Follow the instructions of paragraph

HI

(too high) is displayed

when the conductivity is
between 1.1 µS/cm to
5µS/cm

The conductivity indicator
is ON with yellow colour
