Press SAFETY DOWN. Verify if the lift shafts / lift forks go down and get blocked on all lift columns in 
use. Make sure no lift shafts / lift forks continue to go down further after the safety locks have been 
engaged. 

 

 

Make sure all movements occur smoothly and quietly, without jerking motion or unusual noises. During 
the LIFT function, the sound of the electric motor in the power pack will be audible. The LOWER function 
is gravity down, no particular sound should be audible. 

 

 

 

 

Remember: if any part of the pre-trip inspection reveals a need for service or repair  

 

DO NOT use the lift until it has been serviced or repaired by a qualified service technician.  

 

Switch OFF the power at the electric control box and pull out the main power plug.

IMPORTANCE OF PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE 

NOTICE 

 

Competent and regular preventative maintenance is essential to the operational reliability of the mobile column lift as well as the 
safety of the operator and all bystanders. 

 

All  maintenance  and  repair  work  must  be  performed  by  authorized  DHOLLANDIA  service  agents,  and  using  original  
DHOLLANDIA replacement parts only. 

 

Please consult the separate MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR MANUAL for specific instructions regarding periodic maintenance. 

 

If a mobile column lift cannot be repaired immediately in case of breakdown, it must be put out of operation and secured against 
unauthorized use.  

 

In view of the size, weight and value of the vehicles being lifted, and in view of the possible consequences in terms of personal 
injury or death and property damage, these lifts SHALL NOT be used if they are not maintained in proper working condition or if 
the daily inspection reveals any deficiencies or anomalies.  

WARNING 

 

Impact by a falling platform will result in serious bodily injury or death. To reduce the risk of injury: 

 

Maintain the mobile column lift in good working order 

 

Execute the daily inspection. 

 

If any anomalies or deficiencies arise, put the mobile column lift out of service immediately. Attach a 
clear and highly visible warning to the control box and lift columns. 

 

Warn your supervisor. 

 

Contact an authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent to repair the mobile column lift prior to any further 
use. 

 

7.6

 

NOISE 

 

In normal operation, the DH-AB* mobile column lift doesn’t exceed a noise level of 70dB(A). In case of mechanical failure the 
mobile column lift can exceed a noise level of 70dB. When this happens, ALWAYS stop the operation immediately, warn your 
supervisor and contact an authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent for maintenance and repair.
