FEATURE 

DESCRIPTION 

Save AutoZero 

information to file   

(check box) 

All information used to determine the AutoZero correction is saved to a delimited text file when 
this option is selected.  The resultant file is used to validate and quantify the corrections 
determined by the AutoZero process.  All AutoZero files are automatically saved in the 

\AutoZ 

directory relative to the root data file directory selected in 

[Tools][Options][Data File]

 and 

have an “.atz” extenstion. 

The file is not handled by 

GFS Tools

.  Analysis of the AutoZero files requires a separate 

spreadsheet application such as MS Excel. 

Save SDF file for 

each accumulation   

(check box) 

The SDF file (Sample Data File) provides a complete account for all outputs and calculations 
used to determine flow from the GFS and DUTs.  Check this option to create a SDF file for 
each flow accumulation.   Use this option to troubleshoot problems or to verify 

GFS Tools

 

calculations.  

When this option is selected, the SDF file for the GFS is automatically saved in a 

\SDF

 

directory relative to the root data file directory selected in 

[Tools][Options][Data File]

.  SDF 

files for a DUT are saved in the same directory as the DUT data file and have an “.sdf” file 
extension. 

SDF files are not manipulated by 

GFS Tools

.  Analysis of the SDF files requires a separate 

spreadsheet application such as MS Excel.  

Allow manual GFS 

manipulation when 

running a Test 

Definition   

(check box) 

Check this option to allow a user to use the run time toolbars on the GFS Run Screen and 
other device run screens when running a Test Definition.  By default this option is not 
selected.  The choices selected in the Test Definition govern the test process.  However, there 
are times in which manual user interaction is more efficient.  For example a user may 
manually adjust the target flow or AutoZero the GFS when a test is active.

Check this option to allow 

GFS Tools

 to trigger timed point sampling only after the GFS has 

started to sample data.  This choice affects manual tests only.  By default this option is 
selected.   

Depending on the sample setup, a significant amount of time may be required to collect the 
first sample.  Un-check this option to log data during this pre-sample period.  Although a GFS 
flow will not be available, valuable information on the changes in ambient conditions and the 
AutoZero correction can be used.

Check this option to allow 

GFS Tools

 to automatically stop timed point collection when the 

GFS accumulation is complete.  This option affects manual tests only.  By default this option 
is selected, however it may be desirable to uncheck this option to log additional ambient 
conditions information after the accumulation is complete.

Check this option to set the flow to zero after the accumulation is complete.  This option 
affects manual tests only.   Do not select this option when multiple accumulations will be used 
at the same flow rate.  The intended use of this option to save cylinder gas when a long 
duration unattended accumulation is performed.

reached   

(check box) 

Check this option to end the flow accumulation after the target mass is reached. If the option 
is not checked, user intervention is required to stop the accumulation.  This option affects 
manual tests only.  By default this option is checked.
