3.1.6 GFS MASS BALANCE
The GFS balance is delivered in a custom molded black foam insert inside a corrugated
container along with the custom mass tray, which is individually wrapped inside the insert in
the same container.
Carefully remove the insert from the corrugated container. The insert is a two piece design
held together by two manually operated reusable buckle straps. Release the straps and
remove the top piece of the insert. Carefully remove the mass tray and balance from the
insert. Avoid imparting any excessive shock to the balance while handling.

3.1.7 AMH-GFS2102
The AMH-GFS2102 automated mass handler is shipped in two or more corrugated
containers. There are 4 main parts to the AMH that are disassembled prior to shipment; The
AMH base, the reference mass, reference mass plate and top plate.
To unpack : Remove each of the four AMH parts from the corrugated containers. The AMH
base should be set so that the three adjustable feet support it. The two plates and reference
mass can be placed directly on a table. Take care not to damage or scratch the reference
mass and to keep it clean so that its calibration is not changed. See Sections 3.3.9 to 3.3.12
for AMH-GFS2102 assembly and positioning instructions.
