•
Adder is in the base unit of measure: Pascal (Pa) for pressure, °C for
temperature, %RH for humidity.
•
Multiplier is dimensionless
•
For the ambient PRT temperature, the GFS Tools
[Calibration]
function
reads and writes the resistance at 0 ºC (Rzero) and slope values of the PRT.
The Rzero and slope adjust the PRT as follows:
Corrected Output = (Measured Output – Rzero) / slope
Where:
•
Corrected output is in °C.
•
Measured output and Rzero are in ohms.
•
Slope is in ohms per °C, and is fixed at 0.3896 in its operating temperature
range (DIN Norm 43760). It is recommended that slope not be adjusted.
•
The calculation of a new Rzero is described in Section 7.5.4.3.
Within GFS Tools, the

capabilities to edit the Adders and Multipliers of the ambient sensors and Rzero
and slope of the PRT. To calibrate or adjust the on-board sensors, compare
their outputs on the LCM front panel display to a reference and adjust the
corresponding Adder and/or Multiplier as needed to arrive at acceptable
agreement. Normally, only the Adder is used since a one point calibration is
being performed.
See Section 7.5.4.2 for information on calibration of the enclosure pressure
sensor.
See Section 7.5.4.3 for information on calibration of the ambient temperature
sensor.
See Section 7.5.4.4 for information on calibration of the ambient relative humidity
sensor.

ENCLOSURE PRESSURE SENSOR
PURPOSE
To view and adjust the output of the enclosure pressure sensor.
OPERATION
The LCM default front panel display shows the output of the enclosure pressure
sensor in its upper left corner on power up (see Figure 110).
A one point verification against an atmospheric reference is all that is needed.
