Description

TBD 616 OEM

Speed regulation

The task of speed governing systems is to influence the fuel supply to the
engine by adjusting the injection pump control rod, in such a way that the per-
formance required from the engine is obtained whilst maintaining a pre-set
constant or variable speed.

Two electronic governing systems are available for the engines of the
TBD 616 OEM series:

Heinzmann actuator StG 2040-DP with EMR2 (digital)

-

GAC (analog)

Electronic speed govern-
ing systems

In their basic design the electronic speed governing systems consist of the
following components:

-

Magnetic frequency pick-up

-

Control device, analog or digital

-

Actuator

-

Set-point transmitter

The magnetic frequency pick-up records the actual value of the speed on the
ring gear of the flywheel and passes it on to the control device. In the control
device, which can be an analog or digital design, the actual value is com-
pared to the setpoint. In the case of deviations the control device sends the
command to the actuator to adjust the injection pump control bar. The actua-
tor sends a return signal of the control bar position to the control device.

The following applies for speed governing systems:

The speed governing systems are set according to the requirements and
application of the engine.

●

Settings, blockings and seals of the speed govering systems may not be
changed or removed. In the event of manipulations to the governing sys-
tems, the warranty and guarantee are voided.

●

If new settings become necessary due to repairs or changes in the appli-
cation conditions, these may only be done by authorized personnel.
