34.7 INSPECTION OF FLYWHEEL HOUSING AND REAR OIL SEAL AREA

OF CRANKSHAFT

Inspect as follows:

1. Inspect

ywheel housing for cracks and any other damage.

[a] Check sealing surface for damage.

[b] Check

ywheel housing for cracks.

[c] If damaged or cracked, repair is not possible; replace the part.

2. Inspect the

ywheel where the rear oil seal makes contact. Check for groove in

ywheel;

if grooved, replace

ywheel.
