Operating Environmental Conditions
The Detecto SONARIS Sonar Stadiometer has been designed to operate under the following
environmental conditions:
For indoor use only.
Never allow unit to get wet.
Ambient temperature range of 14 to 104 °F (-10 to +40 °C)
The unit should be placed out of direct sunlight.
Keep the area around the unit clear. Movable objects that might interfere with the sound
waves of the sensor should be removed from a 6 foot radius.
Do not place the unit directly in front of a heating or cooling vent. Such a location will
subject it to sudden temperature changes, which may result in unstable height readings.
Insure that the unit has good, clean AC power, and is properly grounded. In areas subject
to lightning strikes, additional protection to minimize lightning damage, such as surge
suppressors, should be installed.
Make certain the AC Power Adapter cord is out of the way of normal traffic to avoid a trip
hazard.
