Select
the
appropriate
retainer
and
matrix
band.

Hold
both
ends
of
the
matrix
band
together
and
slide
them
inside
the
retainer's
slot
until
they
reach
the
stop.

When
using
retainer
MEC
‐
N1
or
N2,
the
concave
side
of
the
matrix
band
must
be
on
the
side
of
the
retainer
with
the
short
side
of
the
slot
(Figure

The
small
knob
locks
the
matrix
band.
Turn
it
clockwise
until
the
band
is
securely
locked.

Place
the
matrix
band
around
the
tooth,
and
turn
the
large
knob
clockwise
until
the
matrix
band
is
properly
tightened
around
the
tooth
(Figure
3).

Once
the
filling
procedure
is
complete,
turn
the
large
knob
counterclockwise
to
loosen
up
the
matrix
band
and
remove
it
carefully
from
the
tooth.

Turn
the
small
knob
counterclockwise
to
release
the
matrix
band
from
the
retainer.
