Installing the base cover

Align the base cover with the screw holders on the computer.

Press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.

Tighten the (8 screws - M2.5x8; 3 screws - M2x2; 2 screws- M2x5) screws to secure the base cover to the computer.

Flip the computer over.

Open the display and connect the optical drive connector to the system board.

Tighten the screws to secure the base cover to the palm rest.

Install the:

Keyboard

Optical drive

Battery

Follow the procedure in

After working inside your computer

Hard drive

Removing the hard drive assembly

Follow the procedure in

Before working inside your computer

Remove the:

Battery

Removing and installing components
