Removing a Battery

Before removing the battery, ensure that the computer is turned off or
disconnected from an electrical outlet.

Unlock the battery as shown in the following graphic.

Slide and hold the battery latch all the way up until the left edge of the
battery pops up.

Remove the battery.

Installing a Battery

Ensure that the battery lock is in the unlocked position.

Slide the battery into the battery bay until the latch clicks.

Lock the battery.

Replacing a Daughter Card Modem

Make sure that the work surface is flat and clean to prevent scratching
the computer cover.
