EN-SASx6x12/24 Enclosures
SAS enclosures hold drives for data storage and connect to the controllers through
back ‐ end ports. EN ‐ SASX6X12 enclosures can hold up to 12 ‐ 3.5 ʺ drives, and EN ‐ SASX6X24
can hold up to 24 ‐ 2.5 ʺ drives.
EN ‐ SASx6x12/24 enclosures cannot be connected to the same chain as SC200 or SC220
enclosures.
EN-SASx6x12/24 Front-Panel Features and Indicators
The enclosure front panel provides controls to power up and reset the enclosure and
indicators to show the enclosure status. Insert the enclosure into a rack so that the LED
display is on the left side.

• Flashing Amber : Unexpected enclosure ID (Module

5 LED display — Indicates the enclosure ID number — the software sets this
number during installation, and matches the Disk ID
displayed in the Storage Center System Manager
