Configuring RoCE on the Adapter for Linux

Installing Out-of-box OFED for RHEL
To install out-of-box OFED for RHEL:
1. Download latest out-of-box OFED from the following link:
http://downloads.openfabrics.org/OFED .
2. Remove the existing Linux drivers, as described in “Removing Linux Drivers
in a RoCE Environment” on page 11 .
3. Run the
install.pl
script and follow the OFED installation prompts.
During the installation, you will be prompted for a few dependency packages
that you will need to copy from the operating system ISO image.
4. When the installation is complete, reboot the sever.
5. Compile and install the FastLinQ drivers from the TAR file as described in
“Installing Linux Drivers for RoCE in an Out-of-box OFED Environment” on
page 15
. The FastLinQ package contains all relevant driver modules and
libqedr.


6. Verify RoCE connectivity, as described in “Verifying the RoCE Configuration
on Linux” on page 58 .
NOTE
For out-of-box OFED, install all drivers from FastLinQ source code,
including libqedr libraries.
