Expansion bus specifications
The PowerEdge R730xd system supports PCI express (PCIe) generation 3 expansion cards, which need to
be installed on the system board using expansion card risers. This system supports three types of
expansion card risers. The following table provides the expansion card riser specifications:

the system.
Memory specifications
The PowerEdge R730xd system supports DDR4 registered DIMMs (RDIMMs) and load-reduced DIMMs
(LRDIMMs). Supported memory bus frequencies are 1333MT/s, 1600 MT/s, 1866 MT/s, 2133MT/s, or 2400
MT/s.
