1. Peel the mylar tape that secures the heat sink to the system board.
2. In the reverse sequential order (7>6>5>4>3>2>1), loosen the seven captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system
board.
3. Lift the heat sink off the system board.
Installing the heat sink
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.

1. Align and place the screw holes on the heat sink with the screw holes on the system board.
2. In sequential order (as indicated on the heat sink), tighten the seven captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system
