About this task

The following image indicates the location of the memory modules and provides a visual representation of the removal
procedure.

Steps

1. Pry and remove the DIMM door from the system-board shield
2. Using your fingertips, spread apart the securing clips on the memory-module slot until the memory module pops up.
3. Slide and remove the memory module from the memory-module slot.

NOTE:

Repeat step 2 and 3 if there are two memory modules.

Installing the memory modules

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
