About this task

The following images indicate the location of the fan and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps

1. Peel and lift the Mylar covering the system board.
2. Lift the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board.
3. Remove the I/O-board cable from the routing guides on the fan.
4. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
5. Remove the two (M2x2) screws that secure the fan to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
