Options for managing preoperating system applications
Your system has the following options to manage the preoperating system
applications:

System Setup
l
Dell Lifecycle Controller
l
Boot Manager
l
Preboot Execution Environment (PXE)
Using the system setup
The System Setup screen allows you to configure the BIOS, iDRAC, and device
settings of your VxFlex Ready Node server.
CAUTION
Changing the default settings may make the node unusable. Dell EMC
recommends only making changes under the direction of Dell EMC tech support.
Access system setup using either of there methods:
l
Standard graphical browser. The browser is enabled by default.
l
Text browser. The browser is enabled by using Console Redirection.
Note
Help text for the selected field is displayed in the graphical browser by default. To
view the help text in the text browser, press F1.
View system setup
To view the System Setup screen, perform the following steps:
Procedure
1. Turn on, or restart the server.
2. Press F2 immediately after you see the following message:
F2 = System Setup
Note
If the operating system begins to load before you press F2, wait for the system
to finish booting, and then restart the server and try again.
