About this task
NOTE: If the rubber grommets are pushed out of the speakers when removing the speakers, push them back in place
before replacing the speakers.
The following image indicates the location of the speakers and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
1. Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the left speaker in the slot on the palm-rest assembly.
2. Holding the tab on the left speaker, rotate the left speaker into place in an anti-clockwise direction and secure it using the
alignment posts.
3. Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly and the touchpad bracket.
4. Using the alignment posts and rubber grommets, place the right speaker in the slot on the palm-rest assembly.
5. Holding the tab on the right speaker, rotate the right speaker into place in an anti-clockwise direction and secure it using the
alignment posts.
6. Connect the speaker cable to the audio daughter-board.
