Configure the uplink Link Aggregation Control
Protocol
After the VLT is enabled, create the uplink to the network layer above the PowerEdge MX7000 enclosure. The connection should be an
Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) active link aggregation of two ports. The MX5108n switches support uplink speeds of 100 GbE,
40 GbE, or 25 GbE on Ethernet port 1/1/11. In this example, the upstream ports are operating at 100 GbE so the breakout mode for the
interface is found in the running-configuration and should be:
interface breakout 1/1/11 map 100g-1x
If the running-configuration shows that the port is mapped to 10g or 40g, you can remap it by running the following command:

A VLT link aggregation is created by creating a VLT port-channel on each of the MX5108n switches. First create the uplink VLT port-
channel on both MX5108n switches.
