Add the cache tier to the DDVE VM

Procedure

1. Log in to the ESXi server.

2. Add a hard disk to the DDVE VM using the newly created SSD datastore named DP-

appliance-ssd.

a. Under Virtual Machines, select the DDVE VM.

b. Click Edit.

c. Click Add hard disk, and select New hard disk.

d. For the disk size, enter the size that you recorded previously.

e. For the location, choose DP-appliance-ssd.

f. For Disk Provisioning, click Thick provisioned, lazily zeroed.

g. For Disk mode, select Independent - persistent.
