The
Logic monitor
screen has a refresh rate of 500 milliseconds. This means the values displayed in the
Logic monitor
screen represent the situation in the controller when the
Logic monitor
screen was refreshed.
The grids on the
Logic monitor
screen will only be active if
CustomLogic
is enabled. If
CustomLogic
is not enabled the grid is
faded and displays the state of the logic when
CustomLogic
was disabled. This is the state of the logic that is currently active
on the controller.
For example, if an external warning light was activated by a coil when the
CustomLogic
was not enabled, the light
remains active even if the logic that activated it is no longer valid.

9.5.1 Logical functions
Logical functions can be programmed into a controller using CustomLogic. The logical functions can be used to create
additional controller functionality by assigning controller
Functions
to the
CustomLogic elements
.
This section shows how logical functions are represented in ladder logic. The logical function is described and an image is
shown of the function in CustomLogic. The truth table for the logical function is shown, and a simple example is given for the
use of the logical function. Keep the following points in mind when reading through the descriptions below:
