6.6 Password Setup
Left-click the mouse to select the Password (Mouse: ) In Setup Menu display, the
Password Setup will be shown.
The Password Setup allows the administrator to add new users, delete existing ones,
and/or modify the user’s name, password, and/or level.
There are three default password levels in the system, including
Administrator (highest),
Supervisor , and Operator (lowest). The Operator can operate live video display, the
Supervisor live video display, image playback and archive, and the Administrator
everything. Beside the default password levels, the user can also set “Customized” user
level as described in the following paragraphs. The system allows up to 18 user accounts.
There is one factory-preset login name/password aa/11 at
Administrator level. The user
can use it to login the system for the first time.
The general operations are as below:

Mouse: Click in the respective item
Select the items to set.

X ( Mouse: Left Click X or Right Click to leave )
Press this button to escape from this screen, and return to Setup Menu display. If the
contents have been modified, a Save dialog will be shown to ask the user to save the
changes, press
YES to exit and save, CANCER to exit without saving.

Select/Deselect as default (Mouse: Left click)
To select/deselect the user, click the number text and there will be an asterisk (*)
preceding the number for the default login user. And this login name/password will
be the default one each time the login dialog is shown, so the user doesn’t bother to
enter the text to log in to the system.
