The Model DSE701 MKII Engine Control Module is designed to control the engine via a key switch and pushbuttons
on the front panel. The module is used to start and stop the engine and indicate fault conditions, automatically shutting
down the engine and indicating the cause of failure by LED, giving true, first up fault annunciation.
The auxiliary input on the controller can be configured using the DSE Configuration Suite Lite PC Software. This gives
the user the option to have a remote start module or for an auxillary fault input when used in a manual only application.
In the
position the DC supply is removed from the module and the run output is de-energised.
The module is powered up when
is selected.
MODULE OPERATION

AUTO START MODULE

Turn the key to the RUN
position
2.
The pre-heat will start automatically as soon as the
RUN mode is engaged and last for the duration of
the configured time.
3.
Press START
button to crank engine.

prior to the starting of the engine.

Press START
button or apply the
remote start input to crank engine.
The starter disengages automatically in both operation modes when the engine fires, the safety on delay timer is then
initiated.
Operation of any of the following alarms (which are close on fault) will cause the fuel output to de-energise:
•
Low Oil Pressure
•
High Coolant Temperature
•
Auxiliary Shutdown
•
Overspeed - (Nominal frequency selector switch accessible through slots in base of module).
This will remove the fuel supply from the engine and bring it to rest.
Each alarm has its own LED indicator and once activated no further alarm conditions will be accepted. The alarm
output and relevant LED will remain active until the unit is reset by turning the switch to the
position.
