Quick Start Guide
MI-Q-TVE/E2-0
Installing the Hard Drive
The hard drive for the unit is provided un-installed.
1) Unlock the keylock on the front of the TransVu Express and withdraw
the caddy.
2) Remove from the protective packaging from the Hard drive and insert
into the caddy. Ensure the pins on the hard drive are pointing away
from the front of the caddy drawer and the label on the hard drive
is facing upwards and visible when the hard drive is placed in the
caddy.
3) Carefully slide the caddy back into the TransVu Express. Remember
to lock the caddy into the TransVu Express using the keylock. Failure
to do so will prevent the unit starting up.
Connections
Please ensure the following are available and have been tested prior to the
installation:
• 10 ~ 30VDC Vehicle Power Source
• Crossed network cable required for web page setup
• Active video signals.
• Correctly terminated cable loom, please see TransVu Express
installation manual for further information.
• Desk or Laptop PC with CD ROM drive with Internet Explorer 5.5
upwards for unit configuration
• Note that pin 35 of the connector provides a switched output of the
input voltage NOT a 12V regulated supply
WARNING: Operate the TransVu Express from the power source
indicated on the label. Failure to do so may cause injury, and
will invalidate the warranty. Under no circumstances make
connections to this unit whilst power is applied.
