Configuration Cable for Wireless

This installation manual describes
installing the Configuration Cable.
The Configuration Cable works with a
computer running DriveRight Fleet
Management Software (FMS) to
configure Wireless On-Board Modules
(#8129) for use in your fleet.
The Configuration Cable can be connected to any computer via a USB port.
The unit is compatible with DriveRight FMS version 3.7 or later. To connect
the Configuration Cable to your computer:
1. Update FMS to 3.7 or install the FMS software if necessary. Install the
Configuration Cable drivers following the instructions provided in the FMS
Online Help.
2. Locate a free USB port
on your computer and
connect the USB con-
nector to the port.
3. Insert the USB- Mini B
connector into the USB
slot of the configura-
tion cable.
4. Connect the Wireless
On-Board Module to
the Configuration
Cable by plugging in
the male connector into
the socket on the Con-
figuration Cable.
5. Follow the FMS
Online Help instruc-
tions for configuring
the Wireless On-Board
Module.
