FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Why can I only hear on one side?
Your headset is stereo compatible but the aircraft is not.
The stereo/mono switch is located on the underside
of the control unit. If you slide the switch to the “M”
setting, you will be able to hear in both ears.
2. What is the expected battery life?
Two (2) AA alkaline batteries, up to 30 hours, greater
duration with lithium AA or rechargeable NiMH AA
batteries.
3. Will the headset function if the control unit batteries
are drained?
Yes, because of fail-safe design, the headset will continue
to operate offering passive attenuation and two-way
communication when connected to an aircraft intercom.
4. Will the headset function with ENC in the ‘OFF’ position?
Yes, it will function as a passive noise-attenuating
headset in the ‘OFF’ position.
5. How can I tell if ENC is activated?
A green indicator light will appear on the control unit
and you will notice improved noise-attenuation.
6. Can the head pad and ear seals be removed and cleaned?
Yes, the head pad and ear seals can be removed from
the hedaset for cleaning with mild soap and water,
then dry thoroughly.
7. When not connected to the aircraft, will the LED light
illuminate when the control unit is ‘ON’?
If the headset is not connected to the aircraft intercom
and auto-shutoff is ‘ENABLED’, the LED indicator light
will flash once to indicate unit is ‘ON’.
